Benefits and goals of dental veneers

Improves the look of your teeth

At Advanced Dental & Medical Clinic, your dental clinic in Barcelona, you can choose both the shape and the shade of your teeth, giving them a more natural look so the veneers go unnoticed, or opting for a permanently bright white Hollywood smile.

Minimally invasive treatment

All the materials we use are biocompatible, which means the tissues around the veneer will not be harmed or trigger adverse reactions. This also helps to extend the lifespan and health of both the veneer and the tooth.

Porcelain veneers

The porcelain veneers (feldspathic ceramic or lithium disilicate) we use at Advanced Dental & Medical Clinic, your dental clinic in Barcelona, are an ideal solution for correcting slight misalignment, stains or chipped teeth, for patients who want a dream smile that lasts.

That way, we can custom-make the shade or colour, alignment, texture and even the length you prefer.

As well as offering flawless aesthetics, these porcelain veneers made at Advanced Dental & Medical Clinic, your dental clinic in Barcelona,  provide remarkable strength and durability, so you can enjoy your new smile without worrying too much about wear or minor damage.

Careful customisation throughout the manufacturing process aims for not only a natural appearance but also a precise fit, providing comfort and function as well as beauty.

What are these veneers for?

Improve the look of your teeth

This quick and efficient process is ideal for anyone who wants significant results without spending a lot of time or going through discomfort.

Correct minor misalignment

They may be the answer if your teeth are slightly misaligned, not as white as you would like, chipped or a shape you are not happy with.

Benefits of porcelain veneers

Great results in a short time

In just a couple of visits, you can avoid lengthy procedures and enjoy fast, effective results.

Minimally invasive treatment

Veneers can sometimes be placed without having to prepare your own teeth, making this a minimally invasive treatment with few complications for the patient.

Time required - porcelain veneers

At Advanced Dental & Medical Clinic, your dental clinic in Barcelona, it generally only takes two appointments to permanently fit porcelain veneers. However, the total time will depend on how long the veneers take to make and on the specific complexity of each case.

Even so, most cases are completed within about a week with just two visits.

How long porcelain veneers last

At Advanced Dental & Medical Clinic, your dental clinic in Barcelona, we advise that if the veneers are looked after with the same care as natural teeth and you attend check-ups every 6 months,  they can stay in optimal condition for around 15 years or more.

Check-ups,  a dental clean every 6 months and sensible chewing habits are essential to preserve the integrity of porcelain veneers.

Porcelain veneer prices

The price depends on the material and the manufacturing technique. Porcelain veneers cost €600 (monolithic porcelain) or €650 (multi-layer porcelain) per veneer. A hybrid veneer (60% porcelain and 40% composite) costs €450, and composite veneers cost €150 to €250 depending on the technique.

Nanohybrid resin veneers

The key difference compared with porcelain veneers is that they are less resistant and require little or no preparation of the tooth. They have a uniform, single-shade colour, and ideal translucent effects cannot be added. What is more, if at any point you decide you are not happy with them, the process is reversible, allowing us to remove them or replace them with porcelain, for example.

This minimally invasive approach not only preserves the original tooth structure but also offers a quick and effective cosmetic solution, adapting to a pleasing shape and colour. The simplicity of the procedure and the possibility of reversing it make this an attractive, moderately priced choice for those looking to improve their smile without compromising the integrity of their natural teeth.

What are these veneers for?

They correct misalignment problems

Although not as effective as traditional veneers, they can correct minor irregularities in the position, shape and colour of the teeth.

Improve and perfect the look of your teeth

If your teeth are well aligned but have stains, small cracks, gaps or defects and you do not want to spend a lot of money, resin veneers are an excellent option.

Benefits of resin veneers

Non-invasive

Placing them does not require preparing or shaving down the natural tooth; they are ultra-thin and designed to bond directly onto the surface of the existing tooth.

Quick to place

It only takes about 2 visits. And because the process does not involve removing tooth structure, it is largely reversible.

Time required - resin veneers

Remarkably quick and efficient, requiring only two visits to Advanced. At the first visit, we take an impression of your teeth, which is used to create your custom veneers. Then, at the second visit, the Lumineers veneers are adjusted and bonded to your teeth, completing your smile makeover.

How long resin veneers last

If the veneers are looked after with the same care as natural teeth, they can stay in optimal condition for around 20 years, and in some cases even longer. Annual cleans and sensible chewing habits are essential to preserve the integrity of the veneers.

How much do resin veneers cost?

Resin (composite) veneers cost less than porcelain veneers, because the materials and the procedure are simpler. They cost €250 per veneer in multi-layer composite and €179 in injected composite.  Click here and contact us!

Direct Bio composite veneers

Composite veneers combine ceromers and organic polymers, forming a plastic structure integrated with resin particles. What sets these veneers apart from ceramic ones, for example, is that the added plastic elements give them greater shock absorption, making them more flexible and less brittle.

They are called direct veneers because they are made by hand on the spot in a single session. There is no need to polish or shave down any tooth, as the veneer is placed over the natural tooth whenever possible.

A notable advantage of these veneers is how quickly they are made, but there are several drawbacks, such as lower strength, less refined aesthetics, colour changes over the months, more maintenance and greater plaque build-up, leading to chronic gingivitis in some cases.

What are direct veneers for?

Correct dental misalignment

Hybrid ceramic veneers can be a solution for misaligned or broken teeth or teeth with an unwanted shape, just like traditional porcelain veneers.

Improve the look of your teeth

Sometimes teeth are not pleasing to the eye, whether because of their small size or an altered shape or colour.

More affordable than all-ceramic and resin veneers.

Benefits of direct composite veneers

Great results in a short time

For comfort and speed, composite veneers really stand out, as the material needs no further processing once the veneers have been made.

Minimally invasive treatment

Applying these veneers is a minimally invasive process with no aggressive dental procedures, and the material adapts efficiently and harmoniously to the existing tooth structure, resulting in a cosmetic treatment that is both comfortable and transformative.

Time required - Bio composite veneers

In most cases, we only need one or two sessions to permanently fit the veneers.  The total duration depends mainly on the complexity of the case, that is, the initial condition of the teeth before the veneers are applied. However, unless the case is particularly complicated (for example, dental alignment problems, edge-to-edge bite, malocclusion, etc.), you could be enjoying your new smile after just two appointments. If you are in a hurry, we can even do it in a few hours.

How long Bio composite veneers last

As with everything in life, durability depends on the care and use they receive. If you look after your veneers properly, they can stay in optimal condition for around 5 years or more. However, it is important to bear in mind that the polymers in the matrix can lose shine and colour over time. That is why it is essential to visit the clinic regularly for the veneers to be polished as needed. It is equally important to keep up annual dental visits for the specific, routine cleans required for dental prostheses.

How much do Bio composite veneers cost?

Direct composite veneers cost from €150 per veneer (composite micro-veneers) and €179 in injected composite.  Click here and contact us to book your appointment!

Frequently asked questions about dental veneers

Below are the answers to the questions
our patients ask us most often:

For stained (darkened) teeth, minor misalignment, and cosmetic changes that affect your self-confidence or appearance.

No, because some occlusions (types of bite) are extremely complex and carry a high risk of failure. In such cases, the bite can first be corrected with orthodontic treatment before the veneers are placed.

Just as you look after your teeth: brushing thoroughly three times a day (with an electric or manual toothbrush), using good-quality toothpaste, interdental brushes and mouthwash.

Putting direct pressure on them, such as biting your nails, using your teeth to open things, or using your teeth to thread or cut sewing thread, among others.

It depends on the material. Price per veneer: multi-layer porcelain €650, monolithic porcelain €600, hybrid veneer (60% porcelain and 40% composite) €450, multi-layer composite €250, injected composite €179 and composite micro-veneers €150.

As a guide, for 8 to 10 veneers: €1,200 to €1,500 in composite micro-veneers, €2,000 to €2,500 in multi-layer composite, €3,600 to €4,500 in hybrid veneers and €4,800 to €6,500 in porcelain. The final quote depends on each case and we give it to you after the assessment.

Composite is applied directly to the tooth, done in a day and more affordable, but it needs regular polishing and is less resistant. Porcelain is custom-made in a laboratory, is more resistant, keeps its colour better and gives a more natural finish. As a guide to minimum lifespan, porcelain lasts 15 years or more, hybrid veneers 7 years or more and multi-layer composite 5 years or more.

Not always. Composite veneers require no preparation, and many ultra-thin porcelain veneers need minimal or no reshaping. We assess this tooth by tooth.

Yes, composite veneers are placed in a single appointment. Porcelain veneers usually need two visits about a week apart.
