DENTAL IMPLANTSIN BARCELONA

What is a dental implant?

Dental implants are tiny biocompatible screws that are surgically placed in the bone of the upper or lower jaw to replace the root of a tooth that has been lost for whatever reason. Once the implant is in place, we fit a crown or prosthesis that restores both appearance and function. This option delivers excellent, long-lasting results, as a well-cared-for implant can last a lifetime and work just like a natural tooth.

At Advanced Dental & Medical Clinic, your dental clinic in Barcelona, we carry out implant surgery using minimally invasive techniques.

Why choose dental implants?

Dental implants integrate with your body

Today's dental implants integrate seamlessly with the bone, fusing completely with the body in a way few other treatments can match. In fact, the implant becomes so well integrated that it works like a natural root, giving you a completely natural look and function.

Enjoy a better smile

Restoring your teeth with dental implants gives you a renewed, more attractive and functional smile. No one will notice you have implants, and caring for them is not very different from caring for natural teeth.

Multiple implants

Single tooth implants

They preserve your facial and jaw structure

Having teeth again allows the forces of chewing to be distributed properly across the jawbones, helping to prevent the bone loss and shrinkage that occur when teeth are missing.

No need to file down your teeth

The alternative to an implant would be treatment with a dental bridge, which requires reshaping the two neighbouring teeth before the bridge can be fitted. An implant, by contrast, is placed directly in the gap to fill it, without touching the healthy teeth nearby.

Dental implants: an excellent option

The advantages of All on Four implants are significant, as even patients with considerable bone loss can benefit. The angled implants improve support for the prosthesis and provide greater stability, making a successful restoration possible even in cases of severe loss of bone support.

What problems do dental implants solve?

Two or more missing teeth

Sometimes two or three teeth are missing, and this can be solved with one, two or more implants. For example, a gap of three adjacent teeth can be restored with a three-unit bridge supported by two implants.

Full arch with a fixed prosthesis on 6 implants

Another common treatment option is the complete restoration of a dental arch by placing 6 dental implants. In this case, the implants support a full bridge that replaces the entire row of teeth.

Full arch with a fixed prosthesis on 4 implants

The dental implant procedure is similar to the previous one, except that instead of using 6 dental implants, the full rehabilitation of the lower arch with a hybrid prosthesis is carried out with just 4 dental implants.

Full arch with removable prostheses

In this case, when it is not possible to place the minimum number of implants, or to position them suitably to support a fixed prosthesis, an implant-supported denture that can be removed offers greater stability than a conventional removable denture, as the implants hold the prosthesis securely in place.

Dental implant recovery time

Step 1

Diagnosis and treatment planning. At Advanced Dental & Medical Clinic, your dental clinic in Barcelona, we follow a conservative surgery protocol in line with ISO standards.

Step 2

Implant placement: the implant is placed in the corresponding jaw under local anaesthesia.

Step 3

During the healing stage, the implant fuses with the bone in what is commonly known as osseointegration. This takes from around six weeks to several months, although it is important to note that the length of this period can vary from patient to patient.

Step 4

While your dental implants are healing, our prosthetics specialists will design and make your future dental crowns in our laboratory, offering you a personalised, high-quality service.

Step 5

The healing phase is key to the success of your new tooth implant, and once it is complete, we will proceed with fitting and final finishing.

Step 6

To preserve your newly treated teeth in the long term, it is essential to follow a maintenance routine that includes regular oral care and scheduled check-ups with our team.

Implants have reached new heights in terms of quality, function and design. We are pleased to present a selection of high-quality implants that meet rigorous standards and reflect the latest innovations.

Single tooth dental implants

All on Four dental implants

Replaces all the upper or lower teeth with just four implants, providing a complete, functional dental restoration. This efficient method optimises load distribution, offering an effective and quick alternative.

Frequently asked questions about dental implants

Here are the answers to the questions
our patients ask us most often:

Phase 1 (surgery and placement of a Swiss-brand implant) costs €850. This price does not include the abutment or the crown, which are quoted separately. The zirconia crown on the implant (Phase 2) costs €765. After your assessment, we give you a fixed quote for your case.

Phase 1 includes the surgery and the implant. The abutment, the final crown and, only if your case requires it, a bone graft (€275 per tooth) or a sinus lift (€930) are quoted separately.

Yes. We offer financing with monthly payments, subject to the finance provider’s terms. We will explain the options at your first visit.

In many cases, yes, using the immediate loading technique. It depends on the quality of the bone and the stability of the implant, which is why we confirm it after a 3D CT scan.

All-on-4 and All-on-6 are fixed dentures screwed onto 4 or 6 implants. An overdenture is an implant-supported denture that the patient can remove for cleaning. The right option depends on the available bone and your preferences.

Often, yes. We consider techniques such as a bone graft, bone regeneration or a sinus lift, and we plan guided surgery based on a 3D CT scan.

The surgery is done under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during the procedure. Afterwards, some mild discomfort or swelling for a few days is common, and this is managed with the prescribed medication. We also offer sedation with an anaesthetist.

Usually two: one for the assessment and surgery, and another, after osseointegration (6 weeks to several months), for the final crown. We send you the plan and dates before you book your trip. We see patients in Spanish, English, French and Russian.
